For our hobbyists: 4-pin Molex connector.

This plug can be used to replace defective plugs. It can also be used as a basis to produce Y-connectors or extensions in your system without much effort. If you want to tidy up your system properly, for example to optimize the air flow or improve your cable management, there is no way around a DIY plug like this. Cables that are too long can be shortened and then fed back into the system using this plug. It is also possible to reduce the voltage output from 12 to 7 or even 5 volts by bending the connection cables - without an adapter. This is particularly interesting when operating fans that should run a little slower and therefore more quietly.

The assembly is child's play. The plug is sent in 2 components. The plastic plug itself and the tips with which the connection is made. The tips are simply inserted into the stripped cable end. The cable is tightened at the other end of the tips by pressing the tips together with pliers. This finished tip can now be pushed into the plastic plug. It now clicks into place and holds rock solid.
