The Alphacool Apex 2 is the next generation of the proven Apex Thermal Grease. Its new formula offers better cooling performance than its predecessor on both CPUs and GPUs, with particularly clear improvements at GPU hotspots. This makes it ideal for high-performance CPUs and GPUs, overclocking systems, workstations, and servers.
The Apex 2 thermal grease was developed in close cooperation with Halnziye. Their many years of experience with thermal interface materials shaped every stage of development, from the new formula to its practical implementation. Rather than simply improving the previous formula, the Apex 2 thermal grease was developed from the ground up to meet the high thermal demands of modern components.
To improve heat transfer, the Apex 2 Thermal Grease fills microscopic gaps between the contact surface and the cooler. This reduces small air pockets and allows heat to move more efficiently to the cooler. Its high thermal conductivity and low thermal resistance support fast heat dissipation, helping the cooler perform at its best. Since the formula is electrically non-conductive, the thermal grease is also suitable for use on sensitive electronic components.
The paste is designed for smooth, controlled application and spreads evenly across the contact surface. Warming it in your hands for a few moments before use improves its workability and makes it easier to apply a thin, uniform layer.
The Apex 2 thermal paste also comes with an updated accessory set. In addition to the Putty Tool, the package includes an application card for spreading the paste evenly and an alcohol wipe for cleaning the contact surfaces before use.
